Over Temperature Controller
Over Temperature protection. When the Temperature is below 475°F (246°C), "SAFE" is
displayed. When the Temperature is higher, "FAIL" is displayed and the Heater is disabled.
Heater Switch
Used to turn the flow of current to the heater ON or OFF. Switch must be in the ON position
during testing and should be in the OFF position as a safety precaution at other times.
Power Switch
Used to turn the instrument ON or OFF. Switch must be in the ON position during testing.
Programming the Controller
The Model 9050 controller used with the 4265 system features user defined
segment programming (8 segments maximum). Using these segments, sample
temperature ramp and dwell segments are defined.
Upper Readout: Displays the current value of the sample temperature. This value is green
when the controller or display is not in an Alarm state.
Alarm Beacon: Flashes when any new alarm occurs (Over Range, Under Range or Sensor
Break). To acknowledge (clear) an alarm, press the Page and Scroll buttons. The Alarm
Beacon will stay illuminated when an alarm is acknowledged but the alarm condition still
exists.
Middle Readout: Displays the target Set Point. When in Manual Mode, the units are in %
output. When in Automatic Mode, the units are in degrees.
Lower Readout: Displays the maximum sample load. The maximum can be reset by the
5270 software or through the front panel of the controller.
Bar Graph: A graphical representation of the current output power. The scale is 0 to 100%
(left-to-right).
