A d m i n i s t r a t i o n
The Administration page provides links to a variety of pages, allowing you to
perform basic and advanced administration on your Matrox Iris E-Series:
• LAN connection settings. The LAN connections page contains configuration
options that allow your Matrox Iris E-Series to logon to a specified user account
automatically upon startup. Matrox Iris E-Series uses this information to connect
to specified network resources (for example, to map a network drive on your
Matrox Iris E-Series).
• MIL licensing settings. The MIL licensing settings page allows you to choose,
enable, and disable various packages, generate a lock code, and register a license
with Matrox.
• Administration utility. The Administration utility page provides links to a variety
of pages allowing you to perform more advanced administration tasks.
• Assignment settings. The Assignment settings page provides control over
applications executed during the initialization of your Matrox Iris E-Series. This
page also allows you to run a new application at any time.
• Discover utility. The Matrox Discovery utility page searches your LAN for
Matrox Iris cameras (both P-Series and E-Series) using Universal Plug and Play
(UPnP). For more information about this utility refer to Find your Matrox Iris
E-Series section, in Chapter 4: Your Matrox Iris E-Series without DHCP.
• Monitor process. The Monitor processes page provides a list of all the processes
and their threads currently running on your Matrox Iris E-Series. Monitoring is
useful for examining thread priorities, associating processes (.EXE files) to modules
(.DLL files) and modules to threads, as well as killing processes.
