Once your Matrox Iris E-Series has joined your network, you can browse to the
Matrox Iris portal website, which exists on yourMatrox Iris E-Series. The Matrox
Iris portal website allows you to configure your Matrox Iris E-Series smart camera,
find other Matrox Iris E-Series smart cameras on your network (using the Matrox
Discovery utility), view a live image from your smart camera (using the View utility
web page), and handle licensing information. Note that there is also a copy of the
Matrox Discovery utility installed in your Matrox Design Assistant installation
directory.
E n a b l i n g U P n P
By default, your computer has universal plug and play (UPnP) disabled. The
Matrox Iris portal website requires UPnP to be enabled on any computer that uses
the Matrox Discovery utility.
To enable UPnP in Windows XP, perform the following:
1. Open the Windows Control Panel and click on the Add or Remove programs
icon. The Add or Remove programs dialog box is displayed.
2. Click on the Add/Remove Windows components button. The Windows
Components Wizard dialog box is displayed.
3. Select the Networking Services option and click on the Details button. The
Networking Services dialog box is displayed.
4. Enable the Universal Plug and Play option and click on the OK button.
5. Click on the Next button to add universal plug and play. The Networking Services
dialog box closes.
6. Click on the Finish button in the Windows Components Wizard dialog box.
