The Matrox Iris E-Series start-up kit ships with one or two lenses. Contact your
Matrox sales representative for details.
Keep the lens free of fingerprints and dust. Do not clean with an alcohol-based
cleaning solution and do not spray water or cleaning fluids directly onto the lens.
Instead, use a pressurized air dispenser or a lens cleaning cloth to remove dust.

The remote head has a plexi-glass shield with an anti-reflective coating. Keep the
plexi-glass shield free of fingerprints and dust. Use a pressurized air dispenser to
remove dust or a lens cleaning cloth.
❖ Note that the remote head for your Matrox Iris E-Series smart camera is not
interchangeable with other Matrox Iris E-Series smart camera remote head units.

The remote head version of your Matrox Iris E-Series ships with one remote head
and one Camera Link cable.
❖ Note that while the remote head uses a Camera Link cable, neither the remote
head, nor your Matrox Iris E-Series comply with the Camera Link standards.
Connecting a Camera Link camera to your Matrox Iris E-Series might damage
your camera and your Matrox Iris E-Series.
If seeking additional cabling, we recommend using a 3M Camera Link cable with
a maximum length of 5 meters (16.4 feet). Contact your Matrox sales
representative for further recommendations.
