information in the edit fields provided:
- IP Address. Enter the following value for the IP address:
169.254.X.X
where X can be any number from 3 to 254.
- Subnet mask. Enter the following value for the subnet mask.
255.255.0.0
Click on the OK button to close the Local Area Connection Properties pane.

Although your computer and your Matrox Iris E-Series are now on the same
subnet, they still cannot communicate over a LAN because the subnet of the LAN
has not changed. Both your computer and your Matrox Iris E-Series must, at least
temporarily, be connected together in a peer-to-peer configuration to
communicate.
