To change your computer's IP address and subnet mask back to the original values,
perform the following:
1. Open the Windows Control Panel and click on the Classic view link in the
sidebar.
2. Double-click on the Network and Sharing Center utility. The Network and
Sharing Center pane is displayed.
3. Click on the View status link beside the name of the connection.
4. Select Internet Protocol version 4 (TCP/IPv4) from the This connection uses
the following items list box, and click on the Properties button. The Internet
Protocol version 4 (TCP/IPv4) Properties pane is displayed.
5. Select the Use the following IP address option, and enter the following
information in the edit fields provided:
- IP Address. Enter the original IP address of your computer.
- Subnet mask. Enter the original subnet mask of your computer.
6. Click on the OK button to close the Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) Properties pane.
Click on the OK button to close the Local Area Connection Properties pane.

Once your Matrox Iris E-Series is configured to use the same subnet as your LAN,
you can now connect your computer and your Matrox Iris E-Series to your LAN.
1. Disconnect the 10/100BaseT ethernet cross-over cable from your Matrox Iris
E-Series's and your computer's ethernet jacks.
2. Connect your original cable from your LAN's ethernet jack to your computer's
network board.
3. Connect your Matrox Iris E-Series's 10/100 BaseT ethernet interface to your
LAN's ethernet jack with the appropriate type of cable (typically, a
straight-through cable).
