You can access shared folders on your Matrox Iris E-Series from your computer
by starting Windows Explorer and typing the following in the Address field:
\\IrisName
You can enable or disable the Matrox Iris E-Series file server through the File server
page of the Matrox Iris portal website. If enabled, you can also enable
authentication from the same page.
Most of the folders found in the Microsoft Windows CE .NET RAM/ROM file
system contain similar content as their counterparts in other Microsoft Windows
operating systems.
Microsoft Windows CE .NET does not use the standard method of identifying
disks or partitions (that is, assigning each one a particular letter, such as C:, D:,
or E:). Instead, each disk/partition appears as a separate folder in the root of the
Microsoft Windows CE .NET file system (for example, \CEDisk and \UserDisk).
Files stored in the Matrox Iris E-Series file system are always stored in one of the
following folders or in one of their subfolders:
Matrox Iris portal website.
E-Series smart camera, as well as images copied by the Browse examples start page
in Matrox Design Assistant. It also contains the calibration files saved by the
calibration utilities.
Note that you should periodically backup all files on the \UserDisk partition.
Files in the \RAMFiles folder are lost when you power down your Matrox Iris E-
Series. Copy any new files in the \RAMFiles folder to the flash disk (\CEDisk or
\UserDisk) before powering down your Matrox Iris E-Series.
