4. Select the Use the following IP address option, and enter the following
information in the edit fields provided:
- IP Address. Enter the following value for the IP address:
169.254.X.X
where X can be any number from 3 to 254.
- Subnet mask. Enter the following value for the subnet mask.
255.255.0.0
5. Click on the OK button to close the Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) Properties dialog
box. Click on the OK button to close the Local Area Connection Properties dialog
box.
To change your computer's IP address and subnet mask to be on the same initial
subnet as your Matrox Iris E-Series in Windows Vista, perform the following:
1. Open the Windows Control Panel and click on the Classic view link in the
sidebar.
2. Double-click on the Network and Sharing Center option. The Network and
Sharing Center pane is displayed.
3. Click on the View status link beside the name of the connection.
4. Select Internet Protocol version 4 (TCP/IPv4) from the This connection uses
the following items list box, and click on the Properties button. The Internet
Protocol version 4 (TCP/IPv4) Properties pane is displayed.
