Symptoms
Possible Source Troubleshooting (repair as reguired)
7. OCCLUSION alarm or
CHECK CARTRIDGE
alarm stays on.
Cartridge may not be fully
installed.
Check to assure cartridge is firmly seated
in motor frame and that latch is fully
closed and flush with back case.
No cartridge installed or
cartridge may be defective.
Install new cartridge.
Dirty optics.
Clean optics surfaces as directed in
Section 5, Maintenance and Service
Tests. Replace optics assembly as
required.
Loose latch.
Check for loose screws on latch
assembly. Replace ejector pivot pins,
spting, or latch assembly as required.
Optics or associated
components.
Check LED drive pulse for proper level. If
drive is low or off, check U9C, Q9, D19,
D20 and Q11. Check pulse for low levels
{less than 2.5V) at collectors of
phototransistors when cartridge is in place
and no occlusion is present. Check A/D
for proper operation. Replace optics
assembly as required.
AID of CPU.
Replace U19.
AID reference from CPU. Check R115, C43 and 3.3V supply.
8. AIR-IN-LINE alarm does
not come on when air is
present in sensing ©
chamber of tubing.
Air sensitivity alarm may be
disarmed.
Place pump in stopped mode and check
air sensitivity setting. Revise as necessary
(refer to System Operating Manual for
instructions).
Dirty optics.
Clean optics surfaces as directed in
Section 5.1, Cleaning the Pump.
Cartridge may not fit properly
into motor frame assembly or
may not be completely
latched.
Correct fit. Replace cartridge as
necessary. Replace latch assembly as
required.
Optics or associated
components.
Replace interface components or replace
optics assembly as required.
A/D input at microprocessor.
Check in optics check test mode.
Replace U19 as required.
LED drive component.
Check and replace as required.
