Motor Assembly
The motor assembly comes with the motor, connector wires, and housing assembled.
Parts Available:
Q Motor Assembly

Shaft Extension
O 2-56 Set Screw
O M2x15 mm flat-head screws (3)
Equipment/Material Required:
& Allen Wrench, .035 inch
Q Loctite® Threadlocker 222
Q Loctite 401 Adhesive
1.
Remove the screws holding the motor to the motor frame and lift the motor from the frame.
2.
Attach the shaft extension to the new motor by applying adhesive to the end of the motor shaft,
partially inserting the set screw into the extension, then placing the extension onto the shaft.
Assure that the extension is completely seated, then tighten the set screw.
3.
Align the motor mounting holes to the holes in the motor frame and assure that the motor wires
are tumed toward the optics carrier end of the motor frame (refer to Figure 7-6. Motor Assembly
to Motor Frame). Place the motor assembly through the back of the motor frame.
4.
Apply the threadlocker to the M2 x 15 mm screws and thread into place. Tighten the screws.
5.
Complete the reassembly as directed in Section 7.4, Pump Reassembly Procedure, then complete
the PVT and burn-in test as described in Section 5, Maintenance and Service Tests.
