Maintenance and Service Tests
This section contains cleaning instructions and the performance verification test (PVT). The PVT is
designed to meet the following needs:
O Operation Verification
The PVT must be performed to verify proper pump operation after any repair or
replacement of pump assemblies or components,
Qi Preventive Maintenance
As part of a preventive maintenance schedule, it is recommended that the PVT be
conducted periodically or per hospital procedures.
Q Diagnostics
The PVT can be used for diagnostic purposes during the troubleshooting of a
malfunctioning pump.
