3.2.9 Rear wheel track formation

3.2.9.1 Rear wheel track formation, installed on terminal hubs.

The rear wheel track with the wheels of basic configuration 18.4R34 is changed by
moving the hub and the wheel along the semiaxle and by replacing the wheels from one
sideboard to the other one, as shown in Figure 3.2.4.

ATTENTION: WHEN SHIPPED FROM THE WORKS, REAR WHEELS ARE
MOUNTED ONTO THE WHEEL TRACK ACCORDING TO VARIANT 1 (FIGURE 3.2.4)!
To change the rear wheel track, do the following:
- put the tractor on a flat ground, put the stops under the front and rear wheels, clean
the semiaxles from dirt;
- jack up the corresponding semiaxle tube;
- turn off wheel retaining nuts 5 (Figure 3.2.5) and remove the wheels;
- release four bolts 2 of rear wheel hubs for three...five complete turns.
- shift the hub group in one side or another for the necessary width;
- tighten four hub bolts 2. Tighten them one by one in a smooth manner using a 8 mm
wrench. The final bolts 2 tightening torque is 300-400 N·m.
- screw out the tie bolts from the dismounting holes and screw them into the bush-
ings. Screw in the tie bolts with a torque from 360 to 450Nm in stages – until all the bolts are
screwed in with the required torque;
