3.2.3 Start of tractor movement, GB shifting

ATTENTION: YOUR TRACTOR IS EQUIPPED WITH TURBOCHARGED ENGINE.
HIGH SPEED OF THE TURBOCHARGER REQUIRES GOOD LUBRICATION AT ENGINE
START. AFTER THE ENGINE START, WARM UP THE ENGINE TO ACHIEVE STABLE
RUNNING UNDER THE CRANKSHAFT SPEED OF 1000-1300 RPM (FOR 2-3 MIN), AND
THEN LET IT RUN AT HIGHER RPM, GRADUALLY INCREASING THE SPEED UP TO
1600 RPM (NOT MORE) UNTIL THE COOLANT TEMPERATURE REACHES 40°C.
TRACTOR OPERATION IS FORBIDDEN, IF THE ENGINE EMERGENCY OIL
PRESSURE LAMP IS ON WITH THE ENGINE RUNNING, STOP THE ENGINE IMMEDI-
ATELY!
Before starting the movement, define a necessary speed of tractor movement. The
speed diagrams of the tractor "BELARUS-922.6" with tires of basic configuration is given in
the instruction table attached to the cab right window and also in subsection 2.14 "GB range
and gear switching".
To put the tractor in motion, do the following:
- reduce engine speed;
- depress the clutch pedal;
- set a required GB range using the range shifting lever according to the range shift-
ing diagram, set a desired speed, for which move the speed and pass shifting lever from
neutral ("N") into any of positions according to the speed shifting diagram;
- if necessary, switch to the required increasing GB stage (if necessary switch the re-
verse gear to the required tractor travel(for tractors with a reverse gear)).
- disengage the parking break, slowly release the clutch pedal, increasing fuel feed at
the same time. The tractor will start moving.
IT IS FORBIDDEN TO START TRACTOR MOVEMENT WITH BIG TRACTION LOAD!
TRACTOR MOVEMENT WITH THE DOOR OPEN IS FORBIDDEN!
ATTENTION: SHIFT GB RANGES AND GEARS ONLY WITH THE TRACTOR
STOPPED AND THE CLUTCH PEDAL FULLY DEPRESSED! PERFORMING TRANSPORT
OPERATIONS IT IS ALLOWED TO SHIFT GEARS WHEN CARRYING OUT TRANSPORT
OPERATIONS IT IS ALLOWED TO SWITCH GEARS WHILE THE TRACTOR IS RUN-
NING FROM THE SECOND TO THIRD AND FROM THE THIRD TO THE SECOND GEAR
WITHIN THE I-ST AND THE II-ND RANGES AS WELL AS FROM THE SECOND TO THE
FOURTH, FROM THE FOURTH TO THE SECOND, FROM THE THIRD TO THE FOURTH
AND FROM THE FOURTH TO THE THIRD GEAR WITHIN THE II-ND RANGE. RANGES
AND GEARS SHALL BE SWITCHED WHEN THE TRACTOR IS COASTING AND THE
COUPLING CLUTCH IS FULLY DEPRESSED! ENABLING AND DISABLING OF THE
FIRST GEAR, SWITCHING TO FIRST GEAR FORM A HIGHER GEAR IS CARRIED OUT
WITH THE TRACTOR COMPLETELY STOPPED AND THE AND CLUTCH PEDAL FULLY
DEPRESSED!
ATTENTION: IN ORDER TO ENGAGE THE GEAR, MOVE THE GEAR SHIFTING LEV-
ER SMOOTHLY, WITHOUT SHARP PUSHES, ACCORDING TO THE DIAGRAM, AND HOLD
IT PRESSED UNTIL THE GEAR IS FULLY ENGAGED!
ATTENTION: ENGAGEMENT OF THE FOURTH GEAR IS ONLY POSSIBLE WITH THE
IIND GB RANGE ENGAGED!
ATTENTION: SWITCH THE REDUCING GEAR STAGES IN EACH GEAR WHEN THE
TRACTOR DOES NOT MOVE AND THE CLUTCH PEDAL IS FULLY DEPRESSED! REDUC-
ING GEAR STAGES SWITHCING WITH THE TRACTOR MOVING IS CONSIDERED AC-
CEPTABLE FOR HAULING OPERATIONS. SWITCH THEM WHEN THE TRACTOR IS
OVERRUNNING WITH THE CLUTCH PEDAL FUULLY DEPRESSED!
ATTENTION: IT IS NECESSARY TO PRESS CLUTCH PEDAL QUICKLY AND RE-
LEASE SLOWLY, LITTLE BY LITTLE. THIS FACILITATES PRECISE GEAR SHIFTING AND
BREAKAWAY. SLOW AND NON-FULL PRESSING OF CLUTCH PEDAL LEADS TO CLUTCH
SLIPPING AND CAUSES DIFFICULT AND NOISY GEARS SHIFTING IN GEAR BOX. IF
CLUTCH PEDAL IS RELEASED QUICKLY, THE LOAD ON TRANSMISSION INCREASES
AND TRACTOR MOVES JERKILY. WHEN RELEASING CLUTCH PEDAL, IT IS NECESSARY
