Selection of the measuring tip and the detector

Depending on the laser type, you must use the appropriate measuring tip and detector. The measuring tips
and detectors are available for different wavelengths, power density ranges, or beam divergences so that
measurements can be recorded at a maximum power in each case.
This ensures that an optimum configuration of the FM+ is achieved. Only one value can be exploited fully for
the power or power density.
The service life of the measuring tips depends not only on the power density but also on the cleanliness of
the surface (dust, particles, fingerprints). Therefore, the measuring tips must be treated very carefully.
Measuring tips specifications and selection of suitable detectors
The measuring tips are suitable for different power densities depending on the design. The power density
depends on the laser power and focus size.
Observe the destruction limits of the measuring tips in appendix B on page 79.
