6.4 Checking the System and Switching on the Gas
Controller
6.4.1

Check Cables and Tubing

1. Check that all the cables and tubing are properly installed as described in the
previous chapters.
2. Turn on the gas controller using the switch on the lower right of the front panel.
6.4.2

Check Basic Settings of Gas Controller

The gas controller is delivered with factory preset settings for use with VICTOR Nivo.
To use the optimal parameters for your working conditions, please perform the
following steps:
1. Press the Control button (see figure above).
2. Press CO2 PID (or N2 PID respectively).
The tuning panel will be displayed.
3. Make sure that the correct values for Band and Time are displayed (depending
on the set concentration):
CO2 PID:
CO2 concentration set [%]
1–20
N2 PID:
O2 concentration set [%]
1–3
3–20
4. If necessary, adjust the settings and press Save.
5. Check these settings also for N2 PID (see step 2).
