Turning the Reader On and Off

To turn the reader on, briefly press the power button.

To turn the reader off, press and hold down the power button for 3 seconds until
l
the light of the button goes out.

Computer Configuration and Connecting the
Reader
The reader has a built-in web server for communication via a standard internet
browser. The software for controlling the reader is located in this built-in web server
and can be accessed via the browser. The server and the browser communicate via
standard TCP/IP protocol. The pre-set IP address is:
192.168.0.2

There are two alternative ways to connect the PC and the reader:
Direct communication with an Ethernet cable between control PC and the
l
reader.
Best suited if no other network connections are used.
Indirect communication with the included Wi-Fi router.
l
Best suited for use with another network and for multi-user environments with
many control PCs.

Installation with Direct LAN Cable Connection

Connecting the cables
1. Connect the power socket on the rear of the instrument to the mains power
using the external power adapter and the power cord.
2. Connect the Ethernet port on the rear of the instrument to the Ethernet port of
your control device (e.g. laptop) using the LAN network cable (D).
