Establishing a connection in the "Viewer" program
Danger of injury if the Viewer/Master selector switch is changed to "Master" during
monitoring!
DDL communication will be interrupted. Uncontrolled valve positions may occur.
Make sure that the Viewer/Master selector switch is always on "Viewer" during monitoring.
To activate the connection to the DDL line:
Click on "Activate"
The following "Messages" dialog mask will appear with a warning.
Confirm that you have read and understood the warning by clicking on "OK".
The software recognizes the addresses of the controlled devices and enters them in the "Available
slaves" field.
The following error message will appear if you have started the "Activate" process and the baud rate
set in the software does not correspond to the DDL line:
1. Confirm the warning with "OK" and click on "Connection > Deactivate" to edit the "Interface
settings" mask.
2. Check that the same baud rate is set on all the DIP switches for the connected devices.
3. Set the baud rate of the DDL line in the "Baud rate" field.
4. Make sure that the power supply has been correctly connected and all plugs properly inserted.
Only participants that have already been actuated appear in the device mask. If the list of recognized
participants deviates from the actual participants in the DDL line:
1. Make sure that
– the addressing of the participants complies with the addressing rules,
– that all DDL connections are correctly inserted,
– that the DDL line is terminated with a terminator plug.
2. Deactivate the connection and then reactivate it.
The participants cannot be automatically addressed. The address "0" is thus not permitted.
