Disassembling, exchanging, and disposing
of the DDL-X-Tool
8.1
Disassembling the DDL-X-Tool
Disconnecting plugs when under voltage will damage the device!
Large differences in potential occur when disconnecting plugs under voltage, which could
damage the device.
Make sure the relevant system component is not under voltage before disassembling the
device or when disconnecting plugs.
The connected devices may not be under pressure when disassembling the DDL-X-Tool.
1. Switch off the 24 V DC supply voltage.
2. Remove the connected plugs.
The DDL-X-Tool may now be removed.
8.2
Exchanging the DDL-X-Tool
To exchange the DDL-X-Tool , you must first disassemble it as described above and then assemble
a new DDL-X-Tool (see "Connecting the DDL-X-Tool" on page 57).
8.3
Disposing of the DDL-X-Tool
Dispose of the DDL-X-Tool in accordance with the currently applicable regulations in your country.
8.4
Deinstalling the software
To remove the DDLfWin software from your computer:
1. In the Windows start menu, select "Programs > DDLfWin > DDLfWin_... > Uninstall_..." and the
desired program and follow the deinstallation assistant instructions.
Or:
1. In the Windows start menu, select "Settings > System control > Software".
The "Software" mask will open up.
2. Select the "DDLfWin_Master" or "DDLfWin_Viewer" program and remove it from your operating
system.
Deinstalling the driver for the USB-to-CAN adapter:
Proceed as described in the provided VCI-V2 installation manual.
