Operating the DDLfWin software
Deviating participant list
The "Messages" dialog field will appear if the "DDL scan" process is completed or the process has
been interrupted. The software will continue with the cyclical data query, i.e. communication is
maintained.
Confirm the following "Messages" dialog field and check that all of the available participants
have been read in.
If the list of recognized participants deviates from the actual participants in the DDL line:
1. Make sure that
– the addressing of the participants complies with the addressing rules,
– that all DDL connections are correctly inserted,
– that the DDL line is terminated with a terminator plug.
2. Restart the "DDL scan".
The participants cannot be automatically addressed. The address "0" is thus not permitted.
7.5.1
Interrupting communication
To interrupt communication to the read-in devices:
Click on "DDL break".
The "DDL scan" process will be paused and the "Break" dialog field appears.
The read-in device list will be maintained, so that communication can be restarted at any time.
To restart communication:
Confirm the "Break" dialog field with "OK".
7.5.2
Ending communication
To end communication to the read-in devices:
Click on "DDL stop".
All read-in participants will be removed from the "Available slaves" field.
You must restart the "DDL scan" process to restart communication.
