On a network that uses DHCP, each Matrox Iris GT must have a unique name
on the network. By default, Matrox Iris GT automatically uses a unique network
name:

The last six digits of your Matrox Iris GT's MAC address are used as the
alphanumeric part of the network name. This ensures that each Matrox Iris GT
has a unique network name. Both the network name of your Matrox Iris GT and
its MAC address are written on stickers on your Matrox Iris GT. This automatic
name can be used instead of an IP address when you try to access your Matrox
Iris GT.
