The following lists the minimum requirements for your computer so that you can
use Matrox Design Assistant on your computer.
• Microsoft Windows XP with SP3 or above, or Microsoft Windows Vista with SP1.
• A DVD reader.
• Up to 310 Mbytes of free hard disk space to install Matrox Design Assistant.
Note that less space might be required if Microsoft .NET 1.0 and 2.0 Framework
files are already installed on your computer.
• Microsoft Internet Explorer version 7 or above.
• Administrator privileges on your computer.
• A suitable display board that is compatible with DirectX 9 (Pixel Shader 1.4 or
higher) is recommended.

To manage projects and configure your Matrox Iris GT using the Matrox Iris
portal website, the following ActiveX settings must be set to either Prompt or
Enable on your computer in Microsoft Internet Explorer:
• Download signed ActiveX controls.
• Run ActiveX controls and plug-ins.
• Script ActiveX controls marked safe for scripting.
• Initialize and script ActiveX controls not marked as safe. Note that, for this setting,
we recommend you set this to Prompt rather than Enable.
