Membrane filter cassettes

Introduction
This section describes how to place the cassette holder on Fluxkart and how to connect
it to the system.
General preparation of the cassettes
Follow the general preparations below before installing the cassettes.

Filter integrity test
Follow the instruction below to perform a filter integrity test.

Action
If the filter cassettes to be used are new, it is strongly recommended to
perform an air integrity test to establish their characteristic air or nitrogen
flow.
Prepare and check the cassettes according to the manufacturer's instruc-
tions.
Action
Assemble filter cassette in the cassette holder separately and bring it near
Fluxkart.
Place the assembled cassette holder on the cart in such a way that it mini-
mizes tubing length (by facing holder inlet and outlet towards tubing
connections).
Identify and connect the respective tubes to the feed, retentate and
permeate ports on the holder.
Make sure that tubing connected to the cassette holder is not kinked or
pinched.
UNICORN must be in End mode.
Do not run any method when the system selector is set to the position
INTEGRITY TEST.
