This product is not approved for handling liquids under flammable conditions. Make sure to use liquids only under conditions where they are not flammable. NOTICE The system is not fitted with lifting eye bolts or other equipment for lifting with telphers or similar equipment. The system should only be lifted using the lower part of the frame.

Always use appropriate pressure alarms, pressure vents or rupture discs, and safety equipment. If not, the columns might rupture, resulting in injury. CAUTION Reduce the pump setting prior to using the START/RESET button, to avoid an immediate high pressure increase in the system when it is reactivated.

Precautions WARNING Pressure may remain in the column and tubing for an extended period after shutdown.
  • Page 19 Depressurize the lines and vessels that are under pressure. This is done by opening valves and disconnecting hoses carefully. Diagnose and remedy the root cause of the problem. The upper control panel provides a view of the flow scheme and has a gauge showing the packing pump air pressure. It also provides the ability to toggle the flow path between inlets B and C, and between column SIT and SIB.

Even if the instructions in the user documentation and instruction manuals are followed, it is the customers' responsibility to guar- antee the safety of the personnel working with the product.

Instructions • Use a pallet jack or forklift with a minimum capacity to match the empty weight of the equipment plus the transport box.

    • Check that the equipment for any apparent damage. Document any found damage carefully. If any equipment is missing or damage is found, contact your Cytiva representative. Unpacking instructions Follow the instructions below to unpack the Chromaflow Packing Station from the transport crate.

Lift and remove the top lid. Locate the three top support beams and unscrew the marked bolts fastening the beams on the outside of the crate (indicated by arrows in the image).

NOTICE Place a soft material between the forks of the forklift and the Chromaflow Packing Station frame during lifting operations to help prevent damage to the surfaces.
