    About this document Read this before unpacking ÄKTA readyflux The instructions in this document provide information that is important for safety during the unpacking of ÄKTA™ readyflux.     Safety information General precautions WARNING The product must be installed and prepared by Cytiva personnel or a third party authorized by Cytiva. WARNING Move transport crates. Make sure that the lifting equipment has the capacity to safely lift the crate weight. Make sure that the crate is properly balanced so that it will not accidentally tip when moved.
  • Page 6 CAUTION The wheels of ÄKTA readyflux must be locked during normal use. The wheels must be unlocked only when moving the unit. CAUTION The product is designed for indoor use only. CAUTION Packing crates may have been exposed to pesticides, depending on the regulations of the country of delivery.

  • Page 10 Procedure Follow these instructions when moving ÄKTA readyflux transport crates. Step Action Check that the lifting equipment has the capacity to safely lift the weight of the crates and the ÄKTA readyflux system. Read and carefully follow the instructions provided by the labels and symbols on the transport crate.

  • Page 14 Step Action Loosen the clips on the ramp panel of the crate using a flat-head screwdriver. Press and lift the screwdriver up to remove the clips. Leave the central two clips till last to prevent the panel from tipping. Hold the ramp panel in place when loosening the last clips.

Make sure that the motion is controlled and that there is ample free space in front of the crate so that the Bagkart trolley will not accidentally hit any object or person. One person holding the handle bar is enough to manage the Bagkart trolley.

Unpacking Fluxkart Step Action Place the pallet with the crate on a hard, horizontal floor with at least 300 cm of free space on the ramp side of the crate. Loosen the clips on the ramp panel of the crate using a flat-head screwdriver.
  • Page 26 Step Action Fold the ramp panel down until it rests on the floor. Loosen the clips of the crate top and lift it off. Loosen the clips on the other panels of the crate using a flat-head screwdriver in the same way as for the ramp panel. Fold the panels down or lift them away so that the Fluxkart trolley becomes accessible.

Make sure that the motion is controlled and that there is ample free space in front of the crate so that the Fluxkart trolley will not accidentally hit any object or person.     Visually inspect all ÄKTA readyflux components for potential damage during transportation. Make a written record of any damage found and report the damage, together with any written comment on the receiving documents, to your local Cytiva representative. Check accessories A packing list is placed on the inside of the ÄKTA readyflux system packing crate.
  • Page 29 Moving after unpacking WARNING Heavy object. Because of the significant weight of the product, great care must be taken not to cause squeezing or crushing injuries during movement. At least two, but preferably three or more, people are recommended when moving the unit. CAUTION The wheels of ÄKTA readyflux must be locked during normal use.

    Recycling information Recycle empty crates Recycle the empty packing crates and packaging materials in accordance with current local rules and regulations. CAUTION Packing crates may have been exposed to pesticides, depending on the regulations of the country of delivery. Recycle packing crates according to local recommendations for pesticide-treated wood.
