1. Remove the switch from the shipping carton (see
page
119).

2. Place the switch on a flat, stable surface.
3. The front brackets allow you to mount the switch. If you want to mount the switch in a recessed
position, attach the 2-in.-recessed front-mounting brackets provided in the separately orderable
four-post rack-mounting kit.
4. Have one person grasp both sides of the switch, lift the switch, and position it in the rack, aligning
the mounting bracket holes with the threaded holes in the rack or cabinet rail. Have the person align
the bottom hole in each mounting bracket with a hole in each rack rail, making sure that the chassis is
level. See

5. Have a second person secure the switch to the rack by using the appropriate screws. Tighten the
screws.
