3. Put on gloves.
4. Clean the O-rings with a lint free tissue to remove any previously applied grease.
5. Using a fresh glove, apply a small amount of silicon grease onto the surface of the O-rings
(shown in Figure 150), by just using a fingertip moistened with grease. Care should be taken
not to allow grease to be applied to, or cover the opening in the nub of the pipettor.
6. Apply a small amount of silicon grease (see Appendix B – EZ2 Connect MDx Accessories,
Ordering Information, page 170) onto the inner wall of the large end of a fresh filter-tip by
using the fine end of a second fresh tip.
