Installation

WARNING: Installation and Removal of the 3C18500 MSH Management
Module should be carried out by qualified personnel only.
CAUTION: When setting up the hardware links on all modules for the
MSH chassis, think carefully about the configuration you are selecting.
In the unmanaged state, the chassis, and the networks connected
through it, must contain NO loops. When the management module
takes over, you may reconfigure the modules with the software.

Overview

For general instructions on installing and removing modules, see 'The
LinkBuilder MSH Chassis User Guide' (part number DUA1800-0AAA0X).
The management module may be hot-inserted. Should you choose to
hot-insert the module, examine the PWR LED of each module. If any
shows continuous pink, reset the chassis immediately afterwards
("Resetting the MSH Chassis"
that the management module has not received any corrupted
information about the MSH hub and the installed modules it will
manage. Remember that resetting will interrupt the service.
Please take special care and remember to replace the locking bar.
