DCD Control
Check in the manual for your terminal or modem if you are not sure
of the correct setting.
DSR Control
If DSR Control is ENABLEd the management port will be logged out
if DSR is de-asserted. Check in the manual for your terminal or
modem if you are not sure of the correct setting.
Flow Control
CTS bidirectional
Select the flow control options that corresponds with your terminal
or modem. If you are using SLIP, Flow Control must not be set to
XON-XOFF.
Auto Config
The management module can autoconfigure serial port speed to
work with your VT100 terminal. The settings made by Auto
Configuration are not visible to the user. Set this option to ENABLEd
if you require autoconfiguration.
When Auto Config is ENABLEd, the displayed value in the Speed field is
that which will be adopted when the Auto Config is next DISABLEd.
Speed
Select the baud rate of your terminal or modem. Check in the
manual for your terminal or modem if you are not sure of the
correct setting.
Character Size (8), Parity (none) and Stop Bit (1) are fixed values. You
must set up your terminal or modem with these values to
communicate with through the serial port.

Switching MACs

The management module has the ability to use the MAC of another
module to communicate with the network attached to that module. A
typical example where this facility would be used is that of
management of the MSH hub over token ring from a remote station.
