Total Errors . This field should be a small proportion of the Good
Frames figure. It is the sum of the following errors seen in the
repeater, module or port:
FCS Errors,
Alignment Errors,
Short Events,
Too Long Frames,
Very Long Events,
Data Rate Mismatches,
Late Events.
Transmit Collisions . Transmit collisions are collisions that take place
at the repeater, as opposed to those that take place on the network
and are detected at the repeater. Collisions are a normal part of
802.3 operation, and are not errors. Transmit collisions form part of
the Total Collisions figure.
Unicast Frames . This is the total number of frames addressed to a
single MAC address (that is, a single device) seen at the repeater,
module or port.
Very Long Events . A very long event is an event that will cause
Jabber Lock Up protection to operate. This statistic shows how
many times the repeater has had to protect against jabber seen at a
port.
Isolate the source of very long events and check that the transceiver
or adapter card in the device is operating correctly.
