Ring Statistics

This screen, shown below, displays the global ring statistics.

The RESET COUNTERS button is only displayed if you are using access
levels 3, 4 or 5.
Beacon Count - This is a count of the number of times that the Main
Ring state has changed to "beacon" .
Soft Errors - This shows the total number of isolating soft errors that
have been collected and reported by all the stations on the ring.
Isolating soft errors are traceable to the ring-station reporting
them. The ring expects to operate normally with a level of soft
errors from which stations are able to recover. An abnormal rise in
soft errors should be regarded as a warning to investigate.
Active Monitor Changes - This indicates the number of times that
standby monitors have attempted to take over from the single
active monitor. This is a normal occurrence on the ring and no
action needs to be taken.
The statistics are updated every 2 seconds.
