If you are using an expansion module on a repeater module, the LEDs
above repeater module slot and the adjacent slot will be lit. If you want
to transfer the mother board to another backplane, you will
automatically transfer the expansion module to the same backplane at
the same time.
For the MSH Ethernet bridge, there are four connections: 1, 2 and 3 are
internal connections to the appropriate backplane, and 0 the external
connection.

Introduction to Repeater Management

You will have entered this area of management by selecting a repeater
service from the Service Selection Menu presented by the VT100
interface (see
"Service Selection Menu"
on page 5-10).
This chapter is divided into sections that cover repeater management
tasks. These sections broadly follow the division suggested by the
Repeater menu tree, which is shown overleaf to help you find the
options you require. The section numbers that refer to each menu
option are shown in italics on the menu tree.
The information given in this chapter for each screen identifies:
The security level needed to access the screen. This is given in brackets
opposite the screen name and is shown in italics.
The default value for the field, if applicable. The default value is
underlined in the list of choices.
any help or tips for resolving problems.
