4.
Detection region This is the area where the specified tool is processed. Images
outside the detection area are deleted and can not be used with subsequent
tools.
5.
Operation region?Reduce domain?A range that is trimmed from the captured
image leaving only the part necessary for image processing,or do trimming.
Also referred to as ROI: Range Of Interest or AOI: Area Of Interest.Images out-
side the processing area are deleted and can not be used with subsequent
tools.
6.
Photometric imaging It is an imaging technique to capture an object by illuminat-
ing the target work sequentially from 4 directions and acquiring a composite
image from 4 images obtained from it. You can acquire images that emphasize
the unevenness of the target workpieces or images from which halation due to
reflection of illumination has been removed.
7.
Filtering It is an imaging technique to make it easier for subsequent image pro-
cessing by eliminating noise components on an image and emphasizing edges.
8.
texture A uniform repeating pattern. For example, monotonous patterns of wrap-
ping paper, and patterns on the surface of objects due to graining and shot
blasting. With VisionNavi, it is possible to detect scratches, dirt, etc. by cancel-
ing texture by using[Remove texture[filter and [Texture inspection]tool.
9.
Optical flow It extracts a moving object in successive images and expresses the
movement by a vector.
10.
A blob It is a block (area) on the image where shape analysis can be performed.
By treating it as a blob, you can count the number of extracted regions, evaluate
features such as area and circularity, and so on.
11.
Morphology A method of image processing that expands or contracts a speci-
fied region.
12.
Metrology A method of image processing that acquires a point group and
extracts shapes such as a straight line and a circle from it.
13.
File image Image stored in VisionNavi or SD card etc. There are three formats
for images that can be processed by VisionNavi, .png, .bmp, and .tiff.
14.
Memory image Image to be temporarily used within the inspection project. You
can temporarily save 100 images from ID 0 to ID 99. Memory images are erased
by closing the project or turning off VisionNavi.
15.
Saved image
It is an image saved with the inspection project and not erased even when you
turn off VisionNavi. In order to save, it is necessary to save the inspection proj-
ect. A maximum of 20 images from ID 0 to ID 19 can be registered in one
inspection project.
16.
Master image Image for use as "reference" in some inspection tools You can
register with the detailed settings of the tool to be used. By saving the inspection
project, it will be saved with the project.
17.
Master work The work to be processed as a reference.
18.
Output variables A variable that stores the output result of the tool. For example,
in the tool that outputs (center value X, center value Y), center value coordi-
nates are assigned to output variables PosX and PosY. Numeric values
assigned to output variables can be used for calculation etc. only with the next
tool. For a list of output variables of each tool, see the output variable list (p 96).
19.
DM (Data memory) Unlike the output variable, it is a memory that can store the
value so that you can reference the value after the next tool. Up to 256 DM [0] to
DM [255] can be used. When saving the project file, the value at that time is
saved with the inspection project.
