The S7 floor stand is a suspension system for Zeiss surgical microscopes. It is
used to power and control the motorized functions of a surgical microscope.
The hallmarks of this stand are its superb mobility and easy operation. The
motorized functions of the connected surgical microscope can be controlled
using a foot control panel.
Additional useful functions:
fully automatic change of the halogen bulb,
brightness control via the foot control panel.
The S7 floor stand comprises of the suspension arm, the carrier arm, the stand
column and the stand base. The carrier arm contains the control panel with
all electrical supply systems required for the control of a motorized surgical
microscope. These motorized functions can be activated using a foot control
panel.
The suspension arm permits almost effortless positioning of the surgical mi-
croscope. The spring force of the suspension arm can be varied in a range
from 6 to 14 kg, permitting reliable balancing of the microscope even with ac-
cessory equipment attached. The suspension arm's range of downward travel
from the horizontal can be limited as required using an adjustable stop.
A grab handle is mounted on the stand column. It is used to move the stand
and to suspend the foot control panel. The stand column is provided on its left
and right with cable supports for winding up cables before the unit is relo-
cated.
The stand base is extremely easy to move on its four casters. It has been de-
signed in such a way that high stability is ensured even with unfavorable
loading of the stand. The brake tabs permit you to reliably secure the S7 floor
stand in position at the site of use.
