Perform a full 2-port calibration (12TC)

Set the number of averages to a high number (>1000)

Activate frequency domain smoothing (see chapter 6)

Activate equalization of transmission coefficiants (see section 5.3)

Create a Sample and set the measurement mode to full 2-port

Measure the fixture

Adjust the frequency axis in the Result Visualization Window by using
the menu item Extras
accept the suggested frequency setting.

Export the data to a Touchstone s2p file by using the
Result Visualization Window.

7.4 Additional Remarks on De-Embedding

De-embedding is an advanced functionality and requires some experi-
ence. It is recommended to critically evaluate the results and improve
the de-embedding parameters if necessary.
De-embedding can be applied in time-domain measurement modes.
In this case the reflection of the DUT is shifted to the left on the time-
axis. The fixture removed by the de-embedding algorithm seems to
"disappear".
