Check the collars for wear, damage or fatigue.
Check the shock link for cracks or damage.
Replace them if necessary.
Check the needle bearings for damage or loose fit.
If the needle bearings are damaged, replace them
(page 1541 ),

SHOCK ARM NEEDLE BEARING
Press the needle bearings (shock link side, swingarm , - - -
side) out of the shock link using the special tools and a
hydraulic press.
