CRANKCASE/CRANKSHAFTITRANSMISSION/BALANCER
Align the punch mark of the driven gear with the punch

Insert the gear holder between the balancer drive and

Apply engine oil to the balancer shaft lock nul threads.
Install and tighten the balancer shaft lock nul to the
specified torque.
TORQUE : 36 N' m (3.7 kgf-m, 27
IbOt)
Remove the gear holder.
Install the primary
Inslali l he primary drive gear by aligning its wide cul-out
drive gear with the
in the splines with the punch mark on the crankshaft.
Punch mark side

OUI.
Temporarily install the clutch ouler guide. needle
bearing and clutch ouler to the mainshaft.
Insert the gear holder between the primary drive and
driven gears.
TOOL:
Gear holder,
M2.S 07724-0010100 or
07724·001 A 1 00

Apply engine oil

the primary drive gear bolt threads.
Install the washer and bolt, and lighlen the bolt

specified torque .
TORQUE: 108 N·m (11 .0 kgf'm , 80 Ibf·ft)
Remove the gear holder.

- Left crankcase cover (page 12-10)
- Right crankcase cover (page 11·8)
- Clutch (page 11·14)
