CLUTCHIKICKSTARTER/GEARSHIFT LINKAGE
SERVICE INFORMATION
GENERAL
This section covers service of the clutch, kickslarter and gearshift linkage. All service can be done with the engine installed in
the frame.
Transmission oil viscosity and level have an effect on clutch disengagement. Oil additives also effect clutch performance and
are not recommended. When the clutch does not disengage or the motorcycle creeps with the clutch lever pulled in, inspect the
transmission oil level before servicing the clutch system .
The clutch discslplates can be serviced without removing the right crankcase cover.
Replace the transmission oil if the clu tch discs and plates are replaced.

Apply engine oil to the threads and seating surface.
AlOC bolt; replace with a new one
