ERASING DTC ('09)
NOTE:
Start the erasing procedure with the engine stopped.
Connect the MCS to the OlC (page 6-21).
Erase the OTC with the MCS.
To erase the DTC without MeS, use 10 the following procedure.
How to clear the OTe with ses service connector
1. Remove the following:
- Seat (page 3-3)
- Left radiator shroud (page 3-4)
2. Disconnect the OlC and short the Brown and Green wire terminals using
the special tool.
TOOL:

Connection : Brown - Green
3. Connect Ihe 12 V battery to the fuel pump sub harness ("ECM" selector
switch is ON) (page 6-19).
4. Remove the special tool from the Ole.
5. The Mil will light for approximately 5 seconds. While the MIL tights.
short the Ole terminals again with the special tool. The self-diagnostic
memory is erased if the MIL goes off and starts blinking.
NOTE:
The OLe must be jumped while Ihe MIL is illuminated . If not, Ihe MIL will
not start blinking.
Note Ihallhe self-diagnoslic memory cannot be erased if Ihe engine
stop switch is pushed or 12 V battery is disconnected before Ihe MIL
starts blinking.
ERASING DTC (After '09)
NOTE:
Start the erasing procedure with the engine stopped
Connect the MCS to the battery harness adaptor
("OLe" labeled connector).
Erase Ihe OTC with the MCS.
To erase the DIG without MCS, use to the following procedure.
How to clear the OTe with ses service connect or
FUEL SYSTEM (PGM-FI)
1. Disconnect the DLClfuel pump sub harness 4P (Red) connector

connect the 12 V battery (page 6-19).
Short the OLC terminals of the battery harness adaptor

Connection : Brown - Green

2. "ECM" selector switch is on.
3. Remove the special tool from the "OlC" labeled connector.
4. The MIL will light for approximately 5 seconds. While the MIL lights.
