FRONT WHEEUSUSPENSION/STEERING

When the feric: is ready 10 be disassembled , perform the
following:
- Clean the fon<. assembly, the sliding surface of the
fof1( slider and bottom of the slider around the center
bolt.
Remove the valve cap.
Adjust the PSF air pressure as specified.
SPECIFIED AIR PRESSURE:
240 kPa (2 .4 kgflcm

,
35 psi)
TOOL. U.S.A . only:
Air Fork Pump, 0.60 psi

- With specified air pressure applied, measure the
length between the axle holder and outer tube and
record
it.
- Remove the valve cap and release the air pressure
by depressing the valve center.
- Loosen the fori< cap, but do not remove it yet.
Loosen the fork bottom bridge pinch bolts, and pull the
fork leg down and out.
DISASSEMBLY
Remove the fork cap from the outer tube.
lower the outer lube slowly until the dust seal seats the
bottom bracket of the fork slider.
Remove the O.ring from the fork cap.
