FRONT WHEEUSUSPENSION/STEERING
Make sure the wear ring end gaps face rearward .
FORK (After '14)
REMOVAL
Remove the front wheel (page 14-10).
Remove the bolts and brak e hose clamp.
Remove the brake caliper mounting bolts and front
brake caliper!bracket assembly.
Do
not suspend the brake caliperlbrackel assembly
from the brake hose. Do not twist Ihe brake hose.
Do not operate the brake lever after removing Ihe
caliperlbrackel assembly and front wheel. To do so
will cause difficulty in fitting the brake disc between
Ihe brake pads.
Remove Ihe fori< protector mounting bolls and fork

protector.
loosen the fork lop bridge pinch bolts.
When the fork is ready to be disassembled . tum Ihe
rebound and compression damping adjusters
counterclockwise to the softest position (be sure to
record the number of tum s from the starting position).
