SHOCK ABSORBER
REMOVAL
'09 - '12: Remove the sub-frame (page 3-7).
After ' 12: Remove the air cleaner housing (page 6-61).

If
you
plan to disassemble the shock absorber, loosen
the spring adjuster lock nut.
TOOLS :
Pin spanner
Pin spanner A
07702-0020001 (2 required) or
89201 ·KS6-810 (2 requi red)
Raise the rear wheel off the ground by placing a
workstand or equivalent under the engine.
Remove the upper mounting boll and nut.
Remove the shock absorber lower mounting bolt, nut

and shock absorber.
