CRANKCASEICRANKSHAFTITRANSMISSION/BALANCER
'09:
Turn the balancer shaft as shown and remove il.
After
'09: Pull the balancer shaft and tum its weight clockwise to
clear the flywheel, and then remove the balancer shaft.
Check the balancer shaft for wear, damage or
excessive scratches.
Replace the balancer shaft if necessary.
INSTALLATION
Engage the

Aner 'lO: Apply engine oil to a new seal ring and install it to the

balancer driven gear groove.
Install the balancer driven gear into the balancer shaft
while aligning its wide cut-out in the splines with the
punch mark on the balancer shaft.
