REAR WHEEL
REMOVAL
Raise the rear wheel off the ground by placing a

workstand or equivalent under the engine. ,
FuUy slacken the drive chain (page 4-23).
Remove the axle nul and washer.
Push the rear wheel forward to derail the drive chain
from the driven sprocket.

INSPECTION
AXLE SHAFT RUNOUT
Set the axle shaft on V-blocks and measure the runout.
Tum
the
axle shaft and measure the runout using a dial
indicator.
Actual runout is 1/2 of the lotal indicator reading .
