Loading the sterilization container
♦ Clean and disinfect the items to be sterilized thoroughly.
Solid items can be arranged in the sterilization containers as follows:
• Placed on instrument trays,
• Placed on instrument trays wrapped in a cloth
• Sealed in their primary packs.
Porous sterilization loads (laundry) should be placed in the sterilization containers
folded, but not too tightly. According to DIN 58953-9 (2002-10) the filling is to be
calibrated such that it is still possible to freely insert an extended hand between the
various laundry items even if the sterilization container is completely filled.
♦ Open the clean sterilization container.
♦ Place the items to be sterilized in the bottom of the sterilization container.
♦ Place the lid on the bottom of the sterilization container and lock it by
engaging the quick lock mechanism.
