9 Selecting sterilizing programs
As described in Chapter 6.1.1, the VARIOKLAV Type 65 TC steam sterilizer
features various programs for sterilization, maintenance and test purposes. The
three program keys (19) on the control panel (6) (see Figure 17) come with specific
program runs assigned to them.

INFORMATION
Be sure that your choice of sterilizing program is in line with
the materials contained in the items to be sterilized.
All sterilizing programs and suitable types of load are listed in Chapter 8.2.1.
♦ Select a sterilizing program that is suitable for the load.
♦ Press the corresponding program key on the control panel (6).
The indicator in the corner of the key is lit, and the previously used program is
shown in the cycle display (18).
♦ Press the ▲ key (16) or the ▼ key (17) on the control panel (6)
repeatedly until cycle display shows the selected program.
The currently selected program with the associated temperature and pressure
values appears in the cycle display (18).
♦ Press the START/STOP key (20).
The green START/STOP key (20) lights up. The door is automatically locked. The
yellow control LED on the control panel (door indicator, 21) is lit. The selected
program is started.
