8.3.2 Steel wire baskets
The wire baskets are well suited for assembling and transporting sterilization loads.
Due to their low weight, they are very user-friendly.
Loading the steel wire baskets
♦ Clean and disinfect the items to be sterilized thoroughly.
Solid items can be arranged in the steel wire baskets as follows:
• Without wrapping or packaging,
• Wrapped in a cloth,
• Sealed in their primary packs.
Porous sterilization loads (laundry) should be placed in the steel wire baskets
folded, but not too tightly.

must be arranged upright in the steel wire
baskets, paper facing paper and foil facing foil. This allows the
steam to circulate freely and the condensate drips off ideally.
