OPERATION WARNINGS
WARNING

POTENTIAL HAZARD
Stalling, rolling backwards or improperly dismounting while climbing a hill.
WHAT CAN HAPPEN
Could result in vehicle overturning.
HOW TO AVOID THE HAZARD
Use low gear and maintain steady speed when climbing a hill.
If you lose all forward speed:
Operator and passenger (2-UP models) must keep their weight uphill.
Never open the throttle suddenly or make sudden gear changes. The
vehicle could flip over backwards.
Apply the brakes.
Lock parking brake after you have stopped.
Disembark on uphill side, or to a side if pointed straight uphil l (passenger
first on 2-UP models).
If you begin rolling backwards:
Operator and passenger (2-UP models) must keep their weight uphill.
Never open the throttle suddenly or make sudden ge ar changes. The
vehicle could flip over backwards.
Never apply the rear brake while rolling backwa rds.
Apply the front brake gradually.
When fully stopped, apply rear brake as well and lock parking brake.
Disembark on uphill side, or to a side if pointed straight uphill (passenger
first on 2-UP models).
Turn the vehicle around and remount, f ollowing the procedure described
further in this Operator's Guide.
