1. Coolant drain plug
NOTE: Do not unscrew the coolant
drain plug completely.
650 Models
Disconnect the lower radiator hose
and drain the remaining coolant into a
suitable container.
NOTE: Take note of the position of the
hose clamp on the lower radiator hose
at the radiator.
Reinstall radiator hose as noted prior to
removal.
All Models
Reinstall cooling system drain plug
with a new sealing ring.
Tighten the coolant drain plug.

Cooling System Filling and Bleeding
1. Unscrew bleed screws above both
front and rear cylinders.
9 N•m to 11 N•m
(80 lbf•in to 97 lbf•in)

1. Front cylinder bleed screw

1. Rear cylinder bleed screw
2. Fill the cooling system until coolant
comes out of the bleed screw(s).

3. Squeeze the top of the coolant hose
between the radiator and coolant
pump several times until all air is
bled from the highest point of the
hose.
All Models
4. Install the bleed screw using a NEW
gasket rings and tighten to specifi-
cation.
