Preparations
1. Confirm that the unit is in the unthreading end state.
2. Turn off the power.
3. Remove the front lid and outside panel.
(Refer to section 1-6 in Part 1 of the Maintenance Manual.)
4. Remove the cassette compartment.
(Refer to section 3-3-24.)

A stop washer is used for installation of the T soft brake assembly. Do not reuse it. Install the new one
(3-559-408-11) when replacing the T soft brake assembly.
