7-1. Preparation

Precaution
The DNV-5 has a selection switch for NTSC or PAL mode.
(If the adjustment is complete in the one mode, no adjust-
ment is required in the other mode.)
Before beginning the adjustment in this section, be sure to
check the setting of this switch.
Initial Settings
[Inside panel]
VTR switch
GAIN switch
OUTPUT/DCC switch
WHITE BAL switch
AUDIO IN CH-1 switch
AUDIO IN CH-2 switch
AUDIO SELECT CH-1 switch
AUDIO SELECT CH-2 switch
F-RUN/SET/R-RUN switch
REAL TIME switch
DISPLAY switch
[Connector box]
AUDIO IN CH-1 LINE/MIC switch → LINE
AUDIO IN CH-2 LINE/MIC switch → LINE
Activate into the adjustment mode
Perform the following item before adjustment in this
section.
1. While holding the RESET button down on the inside
panel, turn off the POWER switch.
2. While holding the HOLD button down on the inside
panel, turn on the POWER switch.
When LCD display appears, release the HOLD button.
Exit the adjustment mode
1. Turn the POWER switch to OFF/ON.

7-2. Power System Adjustment

7-2-1. Battery End Detection Voltage Adjustment

Preparation
. Connect as follows.
→ STBY
→ L (0 dB)
→ CAM/OFF
. Supply +12 V dc to DC IN connector.
→ PRST
→ REAR
Adjustment procedure
→ REAR
→ AUTO
1. Insert the blank tape and put the unit into the REC mode.
→ AUTO
2. Test point
→ R-RUN
→ OFF
→ TC
3. Press the DIAG button on the inside panel to put the unit
4. Continuously hold the HOLD button down on the inside
Check procedure
1. Put the unit into the STOP mode.
2. Turn off and on the POWER switch.
3. Test point : DC IN connector
4. Put the unit into the REC mode.
5. Confirm that the following indicators on the LCD light
DIGITAL
VOLTMETER
DC IN
DC POWER SUPPLY
DNW-7/90
DNV-5
: DC IN connector
Adjust the voltage of the Regulated DC power supply for
the specification.
: 11.28 ±0.02 V dc
Spec.
into the DIAG menu.

up momentarily.
If not, Repeat from step 1.
Adjust the voltage of the Regulated DC power supply for
the specifications.
: 12.00 ±0.02 V dc
